The Illinois Family Institute ( IFI ) will launch a “Love and Truth” campaign from July 15-22, the same days that the Gay Games are running, according to its Web site.
The campaign started on July 15 with a press conference at the Congress Plaza Hotel, 520 S. Michigan. The event featured Linda Jernigan, who is reportedly a former lesbian, as well as Greg Quinlan, who was once involved with Human Rights Campaign. The conclusion will take place in Boystown on July 22 with an outreach campaign in front of Steamworks, 3246 N. Halsted.

IFI is reportedly working closely with Rev. Michael Allen of Chicago’s Uptown Baptist Church. Allen is leading volunteers who will present water bottles with gospel messages to athletes and spectators at Gay Games venues.
